Concrete Repair & Restoration
Fix damaged concrete and restore surfaces to safe, functional condition without full replacement.

When to Repair Instead of Replace
Not every damaged concrete surface needs complete replacement. Many issues can be repaired effectively at a fraction of replacement cost. The key is understanding what's causing the damage and whether repair will provide a lasting solution or just a temporary fix.
Surface cracks, spalling, minor settling, and cosmetic damage often respond well to professional repair. Extensive cracking throughout a surface, major structural failure, or severe settling usually indicates replacement is the better choice. We provide honest assessments of your concrete condition and recommend the most cost-effective approach that actually solves your problem.
Common Concrete Problems We Fix
In Chino Hills, we see certain concrete issues repeatedly. Understanding what causes these problems helps us repair them properly so they don't return immediately.
Issues We Repair Regularly
- ✓Surface cracks from shrinkage, settlement, or thermal stress
- ✓Spalling where concrete surface is flaking or breaking away
- ✓Sunken sections from soil settlement or washout underneath
- ✓Trip hazards from uneven sidewalk or walkway sections
- ✓Damage from tree roots lifting or cracking concrete
- ✓Control joint deterioration and damage
Each problem type requires specific repair techniques. What works for surface cracks won't fix settling issues. We diagnose the underlying cause before recommending repair methods so you get solutions that last.
Our Concrete Repair Techniques
We use various repair methods depending on the type and extent of damage. For surface cracks less than a quarter-inch wide, we use flexible crack fillers that move with the concrete and prevent water penetration. Wider cracks may need routing and filling with more substantial repair materials.
Spalled areas require removing loose concrete, cleaning the surface, and applying repair mortars designed to bond with existing concrete. These materials cure to match the strength of surrounding concrete while resisting the same conditions that caused the original damage.
For sunken concrete sections like sidewalks and walkways, we often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to lift and level the concrete. This approach costs far less than replacing entire sections and can be completed in hours rather than days. When sections are too damaged to lift, we cut them out and pour new concrete to match existing surfaces.
Surface Restoration and Resurfacing
Sometimes concrete is structurally sound but looks terrible. Surface staining, discoloration, minor pitting, and worn finishes make concrete look old and neglected even when there's nothing wrong underneath. Surface restoration techniques can make these surfaces look new again without replacement.
Concrete resurfacing involves applying a thin overlay of specialized material to existing concrete. This covers minor imperfections and creates a fresh surface you can finish smooth, textured, or even stamped with decorative patterns. Resurfacing works well for driveways, patios, pool decks, and garage floors where the base concrete is still solid.
We also offer concrete staining and sealing to refresh appearance and protect surfaces from future damage. Acid stains can create rich, variegated colors that hide stains and wear patterns. Sealers protect against water, oil, and chemical damage while making surfaces easier to clean and maintain.
Fixing the Underlying Problems
Successful concrete repair addresses what caused the damage, not just the visible symptoms. If poor drainage caused settling, we fix the drainage issue as part of the repair. If tree roots lifted a sidewalk, we deal with the roots before repairing the concrete. Otherwise, you're just paying to repair the same damage again in a few years.
This is why we start every repair project with assessment. We look at drainage patterns, soil conditions, nearby trees, and how the concrete is being used. Understanding these factors lets us recommend repairs that actually solve your problem long-term. Our experience with both repairs and new concrete installations gives us perspective on what works and what doesn't.
